It looks like their main page is on FB?

  6. Phil Miller January 15th, 2013 9:56 am

Let’s just hope the USSA doesn’t co-opt control of this sport and start governing the equipment for the “safety” of its participants…

The DoJoe race see – at Eldora, just outside Boulder, CO

    February 24th

This race is fun because it has a costume contest (which takes the best prize) along with AT, tele, and snowboard divisions.

  8. Andy January 15th, 2013 9:58 am

Obviously, I am not an HTML coder.

  9. Joe Risi January 15th, 2013 10:09 am

22nd Annual EPIC Adventures 49N Hill climb. Hosted by 49N Ski Area and EPIC Adventures Outdoor Program from EWU this event has racers skiing up-hill to to the top of Chewela Peak in Washington State followed by a hasty decent back to the startline just above the lodge. Most skiers still honor the race’s history by competing on tele gear although the lightweight AT gear and splitboard setups are just now starting to show up 😉

    Race Date: 01/13/2013
    Start Time: 8am
    Registration: 7am in main lodge

Arguably the largest athlete field at the start line and longest (race distance wise)…in your back yard Joe…

….and a “teams’ race at that, taken after the fact that Backcountry skiing is usually done with a partner.

  12. Tim January 15th, 2013 1:52 pm

Don’t forget the beck ascent series:

And the A Basin Rise and Shine Rando series:

  13. Joe Risi January 15th, 2013 2:14 pm

    @Wick literally under my nose!

  14. JCoates January 16th, 2013 2:01 am

This is a great resource to keep up on all the races–especially if you live in Europe since there are so many of them every weekend. It has links to almost all of the races. Don’t know how they can keep up, but the do.

  15. Lou Dawson January 16th, 2013 3:26 am

I’m still not sure the Elk Mountains Traverse is a a ski mountaineering race. Seems more like a nordic race done partially in the backcountry. But whatever, we’ll let that one go (grin). Lou

  16. Hanne Meyers January 16th, 2013 9:39 am

The Shasta Rando Rendevous Backcountry Ski Race
