I met Dav last night in Bend at our local REI. He’s doing the book tour and did a slide show. What a nice guy!
He talked about the Salomon rental boots with a rubber sole and walk feature he used for the last few years. He says they ski better than a lot of more upright AT boots. He might be on to something…
I did leave a little concerned as he outlined his next project, Nevado Alpamayo in the Cordillera Blanca region of the Andes. It’s gone unskied, go Google it and you’ll see why! Sheeze.
