Ullin, sorry, I guess I missed that comment. Probably traveling or something. At any rate, I've got several pair of the Tyrolias and no Vinersas. So if you ever run across another pair of Vinersas please think of me.

Mark, thanks for dropping by the blog!

I've got a pair of Vinersas (heavy metal!), and some Tyrolias (heavy plastic!!). I already posted a comment about these bindings under one of your articles a while ago. Since there was no reaction, I thought these were not interesting for you.

I don't think I'll be giving away the Vinersa, since I started my randoneé-skiing "career" on it. But you can at least have one Tyrolia, which was very popular here in Austria in the eighties. Contact me, if you're interested.

Lou - Nice write-up. And I'm BUMMED that I missed the event. Your article reinforces my believe that deep beneath the layers of glitter and bullsh*it there still beats the heart of a solid, mountain community. It's why I bounced back here after a 5-year absence. (Shame on me for not attending). Kudos to the organizers, and big love to Bob for a thorough recovery.

Good to see such an awesome turnout for Sloman. Remember meeting him back when I was making regular visits to the Carbondale area. Lifting prayers up for beating the cancer.
