Chris Davenport Has One Fourteener To Go
This just in: Over the past few days Chris Davenport got excellent ski descents of Mount Shavano and Blanca Peak. He’s now 53 peaks into his goal of skiing all 54 Colorado 14,000 foot peaks in one 12 month period. Longs Peak is the last one and he’s planning on tackling it in a few days. Longs is tough to find in shape for skiing, but Davenport has a knack for getting these things done and frequently doing so in amazingly good conditions. More info at skithe14ers.com.

Chris just might have some luck with Longs. I stare at it out my 22nd floor window from downtown Denver, and in the past few days this southern-ish side looks more snowy than I have seen it so far this year. I think he will ski the other side, but it looks pretty snowy up there. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for him.
