Nurturing the brood

You guys might recall Tony Nitti as the guy we blogged about who had a radical brain surgery and is blessedly out backcountry skiing again. He and his wife are also now blessed with yet another member of the WildSnow Little Ripper Club. Ryan Anthony Nitti was born at 4:23 AM this past June 2nd. 6 lbs, 11 ounces, 20 1/2 inches. Mom and baby are doing great.

Backcountry Skiing

Ryan already has his eyes on Tony's favorite planks.

When a little ripper enters this world,
into your life
That little ripper can make you forget your
worries and strife.
It really doesn’t matter whether
it’s a boy or girl
A baby will soon grow and take your favorite skis for a whirl!
So shower a baby with love,
every single way.
Show a baby you truly care-
that you’ll take them on every single ski day.
For with a blink of an eye, time
will fly out the door-
and your precious baby, will
be a skier evermore!!

(Paraphrased from a greeting card.)
