I loved it. That hut is a great facility for teaching with the space downstairs. The price is pretty reasonable too when you consider that you get a hut trip out of it, you get serious time on snow with the instructors, and you get the education. We talked with Scott about doing an advanced course that diverged from Avy 2 in that it didn't focus so much on the science and instead focused more on the decision making process. This is where AIARE was developed and field tested in it's early years, and our courses run in the magnificent avalanche laboratory of Gothic, CO, where some of the longest running studies of natural avalanche cycles has been taking place over the years. I second the thought that these courses are a great way to immerse in the full backcountry / avalanche classroom experience.
