I spent a night in Livigno in the early 90's. Stayed at the Hotel Posta. Very nice option if you're ever back in town. It's run by Luigi Martinelli who is a local tele guru. Until that one lane tunnel was built in the early '60's Livigno was snowbound for the Winter. Livigno's a duty free haven so a lot of Italian folks come up from the cities to shop and get cheap gas. If you go past Bormio to Santa Catarina, you can access the Ortler Group. Great huts, lots of skiable summits and amazing scenery.

Both in one sitting is the key, along with a beer.

Glad you guys had fun giving your take.

Pastry on left is a Joghurt (yogurt) Torte with pockets of marmalade, one on right is indeed a Linzer. I'm pretty sure the yogurt used for filling was about 1/2 sugar, so I would't exactly call it health food, though I did feel pretty healthy after scarfing it (grin)!

I have no idea what either would be called. But they both look tasty. Especially after a day of skinning and skiing... I'd probably want to eat both in one sitting.
