i've been a fan of my Chaco flip flops and won't wear any others since i first bought them a year and a half ago. more durable than anything else i've worn too. vibram soles, and after over 18 months of wear, they still seem almost new.

Yeah man, I get exactly the same it`s ok till they get some fluid built up then your screwed.
2 things I would recommend is seeing a physio, this really helped me out, I got various specific exercises to do and they really have boosted the enjoyment I get skiing. They are boring but I put on the latest ski movie and just work away with them, they`re like my Jane fonda but without all the Lycra.
2nd I would invest in some proper orthtics if you can, see a podiatrist or a feet bio-mechanist. I got inserts for my shoes and they help my foot posture and the knee track in a more natural alignment. Also you can put them in any shoe so long as they have a relativly solid heel....c`mon the skate shoes ;P

I have also had surgery to specifically re-align my knee cap "Lateral release". But I don`t know 100% how it`s worked this is the first season I`ll really get to test it out. I`ll drop a line to your paw in the spring if your interested to find out how it went?
