Jeremy, congrats, wish I'd known sooner that you won the boots. Hey, how about emailing me a photo of you and your Green Machines that we could publish as a quick blog post?

AJ, I hadn't thought of that but perhaps so, and a Manaslu on one foot and a K2 on the other -- or perhaps a Megawatt?

Seriously, I try to be nice to the sponsors but luckily don't have gear contracts, as I'd hate to be stuck using one thing and not doing all the fun testing and blogging. You have to hand it to the sponsors, as they put up with this though I'm sure they'd rather see just their stuff in all the blog posts. But then, it wouldn't be authentic and I'd end up writing for an audience of one, that being myself, and such would be a very sad situation...

Hi Lou,

Congratulations on the sponsors. Will you be wearing a Zzero on one foot and a Radium on the other? :-)

Actually I won the boots and have been using them for about a month or two. The Zzeros are great boots. My old boots were Garmonts G-rides. The Zzeros are much stiffer and do not sacrafice anything on the tour. They did take a little getting use to at first because they are super light for such a stiff boot (not sure if that makes any sense), but after about three or four days on them I have found them to be a great boot and will only use my Garmonts on days with a lot of rock scrambling or hiking were they will get roughed up.
