this looks like a cross-country binding to me, especially as it&#039;s mounted on a cross-country ski. And, although I wasn&#039;t even born in the &#039;60s  :), I had a similiar, although simplified, set-up on my first cross-country skis (late &#039;70s).

Oh, and thanks for bringing some Colorado pow along to Europe, we&#039;ve been somewhat short on that before your arrival! :)
